Matthew Ellerbeck has always been passionate about music - especially Depeche Mode/Dave Gahan. As a teenager, he worked at the Kingston CD Warehouse Music Store (which was one of the largest retail music outlets in Eastern, Ontario at the time). Here, he saw first hand how music can profoundly impact individuals of all walks of life, as he spent much time talking to impassioned fans.
More recently Matthew completed the Music Business Foundations Course from the Berklee College of Music, the largest independent college of contemporary music in the world.
After the completion of his course, he pursued music journalist/review endeavors and launched his site Matthew Talked Music. His insights on music have been featured on FM Radio from coast to coast, including CFUR 887 FM in Prince George (British Columbia), CKUW 959 FM in Winnipeg (Manitoba), CIUT 895 FM in both Toronto and Ottawa (Ontario), and CHMR 935 FM in St. Johns (Newfound Land).
In early 2023, Matthew made several appearances on the nationally syndicated Radio Program Rainbow Country, where is presented song recommendations.
